Daniela Giordano At the age of nineteen she won the "Miss Italy" beauty contest in 1966. Afterwards she travelled to the United States (New York, Boston, Philadelphia) and to Canada (Montreal), to fulfil her engagements. She featured in American TV and in few other advertising forms, working for some international firms which had sponsored the beauty contest.
When
she came back to Italy, she soon began her career as a leading actress in
movie-business, in theatre, and in the Italian National television. She
lived in Rome, Italy, for almost 20 years, featuring
many films,
most of them in co-production with other foreign companies. During the peak
of her career she has also been working in Spain, France, Germany, Austria,
Hungary, Yugoslavia, Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia and Turkey.
She additionally has been working as free-lance journalist for Italian and foreign newspapers and magazines.
She has been always interested in parapsychology and avant-garde research about UFOs and other unusual phenomena. Due to various conferences in London, U.K., and in Paris, France, which she attended by invitation from the international ORB Foundation, she has been able to introduce parapsychology into some Italian medical circles. In 1984 she definitely ceased her job as actress. She was also enrolled on the Italian Special List of Journalists as the Director of UFO-Express, a monthly bulletin (closed after 14 years) wrote out in collaboration with UFO Newsclipping Service, Arkansas, USA, and translated from 4 languages. In 1998 she won the first prize of the Donald E. Keyhoe Journalism Award, a contest promoted by the Found for UFO Research, a foundation based in Washington, D.C., and the winner article has been then published on some international magazines. She has been also enrolled in the list of the Italian National UFO Center (C.U.N.) as honorary member. Today she collaborates as Europe Account Director for Flying Adventures, an American magazine targeting tourist destinations.
