The Vandée is a department of western France in the region of the Loira, striking on the Biscay Gulf with 140 km of low coasts with dunes of white sand. In a certain way, also its symbol represents the character of its people: two hearts interlaced surmounted by a crown.

Land of castles, abbeys, Romanesque churches and vineyards, the Pays de the Loire region enjoys the well-known mildness of the Angiò climate, stirred to the stormy infuence of the Atlantic Ocean.

Ocean, rivers, channels: the water is the spirit of this land kissed by the Nature. The Loira, declared in this stretch from the Unesco world-wide patrimony of the humanity, is skirted by ancient castles and the life slides with the rhythm of the river and of the treasures that are found on its sides.

In the Vandea one can find the authenticity of a noble and generous campaign, historically proud and of above suspicion wealth. Here, at approximately 80 km from the sea, rises the Castle of La Flocellière, today historical monument, acquired and restored in the 1979 by its current owner, the Viscount Patrice Vignial.
